The Yarn
I decided to use Dishie from KnitPicks/We Crochet. I wanted something soft but a little lighter in weight than the usual cotton yarns that are out there.
Not only will the Tiny But Mighty Bonding Square work for collecting mom’s scent while baby is growing stronger and stronger but when baby comes home you can use it as a washcloth.
Supplies Needed
- 90 yards KnitPicks/We Crochet Dishie
- G/4.25mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Yarn needle
Stitches Used
Ch – Chain
Dc – Double Crochet
Hdc – Half Double Crochet
Sc – Single Crochet
Sl St – Slip Stitch
St(s) – Stitch(es)
Gauge & Finished Size
Gauge: 20 Sts x 20 rows = 4”
Finished Size:
With Border 4.5” by 4.5”

Pattern is written in American Crochet Terms.
A stitch count is provided at the end of each row.
The border is optional.

The Pattern
Ch 20
1.) Sc in 2nd Ch, *Hdc in next St, Sl St in next St, Sc in next St, repeat from * across. (19)
2.) Turn, Ch 1, Sc in 1st St, *Hdc in next St, Sl St in next St, Sc in next St, repeat from * across. (19)
Repeat Row 2 until square.
Border (Optional):
Turn, Ch1, Sc evenly around with 3Sc in each corner.
Finish off and weave in ends.
